I’ve compiled a list of the most frequent questions that I have received. It’s normal and encouraged for people to ask many questions when choosing to work with a Therapist. Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please get in touch.

What happens in therapy?

After an initial consultation, we will meet at the same time and place each week for 50 minutes.  We may meet for a pre-determined length of time, or on an open-ended basis. We can decide this during the initial consultation.
My work is influenced by a variety of therapeutic approaches: psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-based therapy, person-centred therapy and affective neuroscience.
I enable an atmosphere in which a therapeutic relationship can develop and flourish, whilst also providing the insight needed for therapeutic change to occur.

Do you offer online or telephone counselling?

Yes, I offer sessions using platforms such as skype, zoom and telephone counselling for those who are unable to readily access the internet. 

What happens once I contact?

I aim to respond within 24 hours from which time we can arrange a date and time for an assessment prior to starting sessions, should it be agreed at assessment that this is the most appropriate option for you.

How much do sessions cost?

My fees are £50 per weekly session.
